Plaza del Mercado de Manatí

Plaza del Mercado de Manatí (Centro de las Artes Joaquín Rosa Gómez)
Calles Quiñónez, Padial and Baldorioty
Manati, Puerto Rico

Diseñado por Rafael Carmoega Morales (1925)

Manatí’s Old Market Square was the first structure that tried to accommodate under one roof all business functions which, until 1925, were carried out in the open on a lot at Padial Street. The construction of this building at the original market locality, helped to preserve the continuity and commercial nature on this part of town.

Currently this building is used as a center for music. Now serves as a performing arts center and is home to the Manatí Youth Orchestra and Children's Choir (two excellent musical organizations).
