Agustín Stahl was born in Aguadilla, on 21 January 1842. Physician and researcher. He made his primary studies in his hometown and high school in Germany.
He studied medicine at the universities of Warzburg and in Prague, where he graduated in 1864. On his return to the island he worked on the profession he studied, but also he studied zoology, botany, ethnology and history.
His investigations received awards of the Spanish anthropological society; Academy of Sciences and arts of Barcelona and Catalonia Medical Sciences Academy.
Here he lived and his laboratory was installed.
Agustín Stahl Nació en Aguadilla, el 21 de enero de 1842. Médico e investigador. Hizo los estudios primarios en su pueblo natal y los superiores en Alemania.
Estudió Medicina en las universidades de Warzburgo y en Praga, de donde se graduó en 1864. A su regreso a la Isla ejerció su profesión y realizó, además, estudios etnológicos, botánicos, zoológicos e históricos.
Por sus invesigaciones recibió premios de la Sociedad Antropológica Española; Academia de Ciencias y Artes de Barcelona y Academia de Ciencias Médicas de Cataluña.
Aquí residió y estuvo instalado su laboratorio.
